Description of pub:
We are split-level pub dating back to 1748, with original features and a real fire, situated in the gorgeous market town of Hitchin.

We are a well established real ale pub, providing a wonderful atmosphere in which to enjoy excellent quality beers in great company. With our focus on serving quality real ales we have won several awards , including Hertfordshire Pub of the Year 2009 & 2010. We serve 8 hand pumped real ales, 6 of which are ever-changing guest ales (often from local micro breweries). We also serve home prepared pub food.
